I was born on the east coast but raised in California. In high school, I spent my summers traveling to the Dominican Republic to build houses and learn Spanish. It was that experience which sparked my passion for Latin America and helping to alleviate poverty.

I have a BA in International Affairs. I love to travel internationally and experience new cultures. I have been to a couple Latin American countries, my goal is to make it to all. I love Latin America, but the Dominican Republic is where I feel at home.

I want to change the world. I want to work to alleviate poverty. I am passionate about human rights, sustainable development, social justice and life.

In this blog I write about what interests me, what inspires me. My hope is to raise awareness to those in the US about what is going on in Latin America. Latin American current events rarely make it to the news in the US. I hope the more people know the more they will be provoked to change the world with me.
